Closure of the Ottawa Church Building
The Ottawa pastorate have considered the ongoing C-19 situation and have agreed to close the church building and cancel services until the emergency situation about group meetings has passed. This is based on the recommendations from the church’s First Presidency and Ottawa’s medical officer of health. Having said that, the events scheduled for Sunday 5 April will go ahead, but in two sessions and each as an electronic meeting through Zoom. Lew Shepherdson is working on the details. On 5 April, the announced business meeting will proceed at 10:30 am, and on 12 April, the Communion service will be broadcast, also at 10:30 am, with a video message from Apostle Art Smith. This will be the first time that we will be employing the procedures allowed by the First Presidency for an electronic communion service. Stay tuned for further details.

"Oneness and equality in Christ do not mean uniformity. They mean Unity in Diversity and relating in Christ-like love to the circumstances of others as if they were one's own. They also mean full opportunity for people to experience human worth and related rights, including expressing God-given giftedness in the church and society.”

Doctrine and Covenants 165:3e
